System Requirements

The system requirements for using MANUS Core are highly dependent on the specific use cases. Below are five examples of MANUS Core use cases and what general level of specification we recommend go with that.

MANUS Core

This has the lowest system requirement. It would be a system that takes in data from one pair (or maybe multiple) glove devices and send it out to either an SDK console application or function as a Networked Device.

Note

When using many (6+) pairs of gloves, CPU requirements may be higher than stated and it's wise to increase the CPU processing power.

MANUS Core + Dashboard

The limiting factor here is the MANUS Core Dashboard UI. Increased resolution and the window size have a significant impact on processing load. In this case Dashboard would be used for device management, recording and exporting.

Exporting

Exporting recorded files to CSV and FBX benefit greatly from additional CPU processing power (ideally single core performance). This can speed up (batch) exporting significantly.

Manus Core + Unreal 4/5

This use case focuses on using MANUS Core (Dashboard) in conjunction with our Unreal Engine plugin. Unreal Engine can be graphically demanding. Therefore we recommend having more CPU and GPU processing power. The requirements in this case are more about running Unreal since this will be your bottleneck rather than MANUS Core

MANUS Core + Unity

Very similar to the Dashboard requirements. But just like with Unreal Engine, the experience may vary signifcantly per specific use-case.

MANUS Core + VR

VR, be it in Unreal or Unity can be vary taxing your machine. Here we recommend going with a similar specification as Unreal, but it can vary widly per the specific use-case.

Operating system

MANUS Core currently only functions on Windows 10 and Windows 11 64-bit. The MANUS SDK can function standalone on Linux, but MANUS Core itself is not supported on Linux.
