1. Host Address

The host name or ip address of the computer in your network running the MANUS Core instance you want to connect to. To connect locally, you can also use localhost as hostname.

MANUS Core Dashboard can be used to discover the hostname of available MANUS Core instances on your local network:

Firewall

Make sure your Windows firewall settings on both computers do not block the connection.

Remote connection

When having trouble connecting remotely, check out the Troubleshooting section. Logging information should list all found hosts including hostnames and ip addresses.

2. Device Sync FPS

Set this to how many times per second MotionBuilder has to evaluate if new MANUS skeleton data has been recieved. If set to (lower then) 0: the device is evaluated on the sync signal. (See MotionBuilder's FBDevice:SamplingPeriod for more information)

3. Skeleton Mode

The type of skeleton the device can bind to:

  • FullBody: Hand models within a full body skeleton per MANUS user.
  • Hands: Only hand models, where two user hands are parented to a root 'user' object.
4. Hand Motion

The hand motion to apply:

  • None: no hand motion
  • IMU: the IMU rotation

MANUS core's landscape information containing user information.
