Batch exporter

alt text The batch exporter allows you to process a large amount of mrec recordings at once and export them to either CSV or FBX files.

This can be done by either selecting all files or by using the Automatic file processing in folder functionality that will continuously look in the folder structure and process any new mrec files that are added.

The exporter can be opened by clicking the Batch Export button located within the Recording sidebar. It's not possible to open this menu whilst a recording is loaded.

Loading files

Files can be added using the Add files button inside the window. Here all to be processed files will be listed. There is a button present to remove specific files again.

Settings

The batch exporter has two settings specific to its feature.

  • Automatic file processing in folder This setting creates a setup where the program continually checks a folder for new files to export. If an mrec file is added to this folder, it will automatically be exported. The Folder below is both the input and output folder. mrec files in nested folders will also be exported.

This can be useful in a situation with a separate recording PC and processing PC. The recording PC should offload all its recordings to the secondary PC which will then be able to automatically start the processing.

  • Suffix this line will be added to the end of the to be exported file. The take name of the mrec will be used and the specified suffix will be added at the end. Leave empty for no suffix.

Other than that the settings are identical to the regular exporter.

Exporting

alt text

The exporter will go through each file one by one and communicate back the status of each export. After the batch exporter is finished, there is a button to open the folder where the exports are located.

Automatic file processing

The automatic file processing feature will continuously monitor the specified folder for any new mrec files. When a new file is detected, it will be automatically added to the batch export list and processed according to the current export settings. This allows for a seamless workflow without the need for manual intervention. The process can be cancelled by pressing Stop Watching.

The exported files will be saved in the same folder as the original mrec files, ensuring easy access and organization.
