Calibration
It only takes 4 simple steps to calibrate Metagloves Pro to your hands.
During the calibration, MANUS Core determines the dimensions of your hand skeleton and how to map the glove sensor data onto your digital fingers.
Calibration Steps
Step 1
Place your hand on a horizontal non-metal surface.
Step 2
Make a fist.
Step 3
Open and close your fingers continually.
Step 4
Touch your knuckles with your thumb.
After finishing the calibration steps for your left hand, follow the same steps for your right hand.
Visual inspection
With both calibrations finished, you can visually inspect the calibration result in MANUS Core.
For the best result, we recommend calibrating your gloves for every use.
Manual Measurements
In addition to the automated calibration process, Metaglove Pro users have the option to manually refine their calibration using manually acquired hand measurements.
This allows for precise adjustments in cases where the automated calibration does not fully capture the user’s anatomy, or when higher accuracy is required for specific applications.
With manual measurements you can:
- Adjust individual finger segment lengths and thicknesses.
- Correct for variations in glove fitment specific to the user.
- Save and reuse calibration profiles for consistency across sessions.
For detailed instructions on how to take and apply manual hand measurements, see the Hand Measurement Guide.
