What's new in MANUS Core 3.0.0

We’re excited to announce the release of MANUS Core 3.0.0! This update brings enhanced functionality, improved support for our hardware, and numerous fixes to ensure a smoother experience. Here’s what’s new:

  • Improved Metagloves Pro calibration and solver
    Enhanced the calibration and solver for Metagloves Pro, aimed to extract the full potential of the hardware. Providing more accurate finger tracking.

  • MANUS ROS2 package and example
    Introduced a new MANUS ROS2 package that publishes glove data as ROS2 topics making it easier than ever to integrate MANUS gloves into your robotics systems.

  • Deprecation of old MANUS licenses
    Deprecated older MANUS licenses in favor of the new licensing system. Please ensure you are using a feature license to unlock the full potential of MANUS Core 3.0.0.

  • SDK integrated support for more than 2 simultaneous gloves
    The SDK integrated mode now supports the user system. In turn allowing for more than 2 gloves to be used simultaneously in the SDK integrated mode.

  • Support for OpenXR's Meta Hand Tracking Aim feature (XR_FB_hand_tracking_aim)
    Added support for the Meta Hand Tracking Aim feature in OpenXR, enhancing support with existing OpenXR frameworks and applications and allowing for MANUS hand tracking capabilities in more applications than ever.

  • OpenXR MANUS haptics subgroup
    Introduced a Unity haptics subgroup to trigger MANUS haptics gloves in Unity applications using the OpenXR Hand Tracking API.

  • Selectable models in the MANUS Core Dashboard
    Users can now select different models (Skeleton, robot, raw skeleton data, raw sensor data) in the MANUS Core Dashboard for better visualization and analysis.


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed MANUS Core Dashboard bug where in some instances the hands would be detached from the avatar in the scene view
  • Fixed issue in MANUS Core SDK Client example that would prevent temporary skeleton saving on Linux
