Power Bank & Battery Life
Introduction
The MANUS Quantum Bodypack uses USB Type-C for power.
Power Supply
Your Bodypack comes with a USB Type-C power supply, which you can use when your Bodypack is not in active use (on-body).
Power Bank Requirements
To use your Bodypack on-body, you need a power bank with a USB Type-C port that can output:
Voltage/Current | PD standard |
---|---|
12V/3A | (Power Delivery 1.0) |
15V/1.8-3.0A | (Power Delivery 2.0/3.0) |
Make sure the USB C cable powering the Bodypack is rated for USB Power Delivery (PD).
Battery Life
The Bodypack, connected to a pair of MANUS Quantum Mocap Metagloves, uses ~15Wh. Using a 90Wh power bank, you should be able to get ~6 hours of battery life.
Battery Pouch
The optional MANUS Quantum Bodypack Belt comes with a battery pouch to securely stow your power bank.
The pouch can fit power banks up to 7.5cm (3 inch) in width, 3.5cm (1½ inch) in depth and up to 20cm (8 inch) in height.
We recommend using angled USB Type-C connectors in the power bank and Bodypack, and routing the USB cable through the belt.
Power Bank Recommendations
When picking a power bank, consider one that shows their remaining power level on a display.
We have positive experiences using the UGREEN 145W Power Bank 25000mAh
power bank, which is sold in many countries around the world.
Other suitable power banks include:
- Xiaomi 50w Power Bank 20000mAh
- Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 26K for Laptop)
- Anker 737 Power Bank (PowerCore 24K)
Suitable power banks are often advertised as laptop power bank
due to their ability to charge USB-C Type-C PD supported laptops.
